... born in Osterholz-Scharmbeck near Bremen, studied opera singing at the Musikhochschule Hamburg with Prof. Gisela Litz and Prof. Judith Beckmann.During this time, she sang as a freelancer with the NDR Choir Hamburg, where she worked with conductors such as Herbert Blomstedt, Hans Christoph Rademann, Eiji Oue and Christoph Eschenbach.

In addition to her role as concert singer, Claudia Erdmann is now primarily engaged in the training of young voices. She has worked for many years as a vocal coach with the Girls Choir Hannover (direction: Prof. Gudrun Schröfel).

She has also worked closely for many years with the Kantorei St. Johannis at the Neustädter Hof- und Stadtkirche Hannover (direction: KMD Lothar Mohn), where she is engaged as a vocal coach and can be heard in many solo parts.

Her repertoire ranges from the many works of Handel, Bach, Mozart, and Haydn to the modern repertoire.

The alto singer can be heard and seen on the DVD of the Boys’ Choir Hannover under the direction of Professor Jörg Breiding, from 2013.

Most recently, Claudia Erdmann has served as vocal coach to the Johannes-Brahms-Chor Hannover.
