The Primaner
The Primaner are a mixed youth choir, consisting of pupils of the 9th to the 12th grade at the Georg Friedrich Händel High School in Berlin. The choir rehearses twice weekly. Founded more than twenty years ago by Jan Olberg, The Primaner have become one of the most successful youth choirs in Germany.
Numeorus concert tours and participation in national and international competitions have taken the choir to the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, South Korea and Hungary. Its reputation as one of the most capable youth choirs in Germany today is well founded. This is attested to by first and second prizes in international choir competitions around the world.
In 2016, The Primaner won the Grand Prix at the International Choir Competition in Budapest.
